Class 9

Welcome to Class 9: Year 5

Our class teacher is Miss Jasper and our teaching assistants are Mrs Roddy, Mrs Easby and Mrs Raffell.

As they continue their journey in Year 5, children will be encouraged to continue to take responsibility for their own learning and to grow in self-confidence. Children will develop their independence, resilience, and problem-solving skills across all areas of the curriculum. As they lead up to the Summer term, children will particularly focus on developing these skills in Maths.

In Class 9 everyone is valued and respected. We work hard and have high expectations of ourselves – even when we find things difficult. We encourage and support each other to do our best with our presentation and quality of work. We always welcome new challenges and we always try our best at everything we do.

We will keep you updated with everything we are doing through our termly newsletters, such as sports that we have participated in, charity work and personal achievements. If you would like any more information or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. The best time is on the playground at the end of the day. Alternatively, you can contact the office to arrange a phone call or meeting.

Thank you for your continual support in your children’s development and progress in Class 9. We are excited to spend the rest of the year together as we prepare for our transition into Year 6 – our final year at St. Joseph’s!
